Workplace Safety Services is a consultancy that provides a broad range of OHS and Risk Management services—hazard audits, assessments, product development, guest speaking and writing.

Kevin Jones, Manager of Workplace Safety Services P/L, is an experienced Occupational Health and Safety practitioner, Editor and Publisher of Safety At Work magazine and freelance writer.

Kevin is a life member of the Central Safety Group, a Fellow of the Safety Institute of Australia and is completing a Risk Management (OHS) Graduate Diploma

Through Workplace Safety Services, Kevin has established a network of OHS professionals which includes emergency ambulance officers, OHS nurses, and risk management professionals. His practical advice, dynamic presentation and ability to relate to people at all organisational levels have earned him high regard from his clients.

His skills in safety management have developed from years of assessing a broad variety of workplaces from chemical manufacturers to the sex industry. This practical experience is firmly grounded from his time with the, then, OHS Authority of the Department of Labour.

Kevin has been engaged as a guest speaker on OHS issues for several years. He has provided information sessions and training for:
  
  • GIO Workers Compensation – Intro to OHS, Hazard identification, Safety Management Systems
  • Monash University Centre for Ambulance and Paramedic Studies – OHS sessions for Occupational First Aiders and the Patient Transport Officer Trainees

Kevin has presented conference papers at:

As well as producing Safety At Work magazine and newsletters Kevin has also written articles on safety for many magazines and journals.

The Editorial - "A culture of terror: the risks of occupational violence" was provided to the December 2005 edition of The Journal of Occupational Health and Safety Australia and New Zealand

Kevin contributed substantially to the 1st edition of the WorkSafe Victoria publication - Manual Handling in the Food Industry, and provided literary support to Ballarat's Farm Safety Training Centre in writing the WorkSafe guidance "Dairy Safety - A Practical Guide".
